Garnet - Faith & Constancy

I'm never tiring to read the books in the shop. Do you know that each of us own a birthstone?
A birthstone is traditionally associated with each month of the year.

January - Garnet

March - Aquamarine
April - Diamond
May - Emerald
June - Pearl Alexandrite
July - Ruby
August - Peridot
September - Sapphire
October - Tourmaline Opal
November - Topaz Citrine
December - Tanzanite Zircon Turquoise

I'm a January baby. From the book, garnet signifies faith and constancy. Later, I find that garnet represents eternal friendship and trust as well.

Garnet means seed. The gemstone is typically fiery red in color but it comes in a rainbow of colors too.

According to the legend, the power of garnets were thought to heal, strengthen and protect ones.

I simply love the symbolization of my birthstone. I would love to get one as my collection, someday later. =)
